So its been a while since I posted, have to get back in my groove! Been busy with a few spring weddings as well as graduation and birthday parties. Shout out to Caitlin & Michael Rossi whole got married in April. Talk about an awesome outdoor wedding, holy cow! Not only did they luck out and have a beautiful, warm, sunny day in mid April (unheard of in Chicago!) I could tell as soon as I loaded in that it was going to be a blast...which is was. Great speeches, and a fun crowd. Captured some extra pics with the Eventstgram feature we incorporate too. Never rule out a backyard if you have the room folks, they went above and beyond and made it look better than some reception halls Ive seen. From every detail to the the centerpieces, signs, catered food and decor it was spot on ;)
Most recently thanks to Nicole & Chris Duran for having us at their wedding. When it comes to Tuscany Falls you simply can't go wrong. Beautiful wedding from start to finish. Everything from heartfelt first dances to a packed dance floor the whole time. You would think from DJing wedding after wedding you would be immune to getting leaky eyes, but certain ones get me and this was one. You could definitely see the love between them and their parents. Congrats guys!
My partner Mike constantly reminds me when were behind the booth to take a step back and take in "what we do". After all the stressing over details to make sure volumes, colors, sound acoustics, wiring, etc. is just right...we NEED to step back and realize the impact and role we have on shaping the best day of our couples lives. Whether it be that magical moment when the ambiance is just right and their dancing to their first song as newly weds, or all have their hands up in the air letting loose forgetting about everything for that night. I hate trying to "promote" RSD... and its almost impossible to put into words what we do and how we do it. Sure pictures and videos are a great way to capture the moment, but if I could hand the couples we meet a pair of virtual reality glasses for a moment that would be amazing, ha!
Never settle for mediocre on your wedding day... get to know the professionals who your trusting on your big day...ask questions...and most importantly know what you're getting!
